Make Pre-Selling A Success
When you are an affiliate marketer and promote products within a specific niche you probably already have some grasp of the concept of pre-selling. If you pre-sell a product, you are just, basically, warming up your prospective buyer so that he or she will have a better idea about making the decision to buy from you. Of course, if you want to get it right and make sure that your pre-sell is a success, you need to remember a few things. The majority of the successful affiliate marketers out there already know the art of pre-selling and that’s why they are at the top of their fields. Let’s explore some things you can do to get a leg up on the ladder of success.
It’s important to understand that pre-selling is all about creating the need for the product in your prospect; it isn’t about promoting or pushing sales on someone. It’s about giving more clarity to the prospect who has already shown interest in the product. You’ve got more freedom when you’re preselling because you don’t really have to go with the formal ‘sales pitch’, but rather use your own conversation mode to talk to your prospects and let them know exactly why they should be taking interest in the product.
It’s important that your focus is on helping your prospect feel a lot more comfortable about investing in the product that you have chosen to sell. That’s all. Composing a straightforward review of the product that you are trying to pre-sell is one of the best ways to take an honest approach toward it. The best way to write a review is to understand what the product is offering, and then give your take on it. It’s better to actually use the product or service before you start to write your review–this helps you be honest and genuine in every way. Your review should not be biased to get the best results; create a balance and see to it that there are more positive points than negative ones. Including a little bit of criticism is okay but keep it to a minimum so that you do not accidentally adversely affect your sales rate. The content you compose for pre-selling needs to include a subtle bit of selling so that you get your prospects to take action. The key word here is ‘subtle’ because if you do hardcore selling in your pre-sell content, you’ll obviously turn it into a mini-unattractive-sales copy. You need to strike a balance in terms of including “subtle” sales elements with your pre-sell because, obviously, you don’t want your prospects to have even the tiniest inkling that you are trying to sell to them. Picking up pre-selling tactics isn’t difficult; all you have to do is focus on the foundation from the beginning. Work on your basics and perfect them before you jump into pre-selling; understand that you have a good product to promote and make sure that you aren’t making any hasty decisions.
